It is our pleasure to highly recommend Peak One Builders & Restoration, LLC. During a recent monsoon storm our family room was flooded. Mike Christensen and Nick Kirschman happened to have been called by a neighbor, whose house was flooded as well. When we asked if they could come and assess the damage at our house they immediately complied. Within a week they sent all the appropriate services and the family room was restored.
Since then we have engaged Peak One to remodel one of our offices, had the roof or our residence renewed and some interior work done. All services were completed in a timely fashion and to our complete satisfaction.

Over the past couple of years Peak One Builders & Restoration has completed a couple of remodeling jobs at our second home in Scottsdale. First of all, we were not in town during much of the work. Mike and his team did an excellent job communicating with us on the progress and made sure any unexpected issues which came up in the remodeling process were well understood by us and well documented. This communication allowed us to feel very comfortable having them do the work while we were at our primary residence in Ohio. Planning the work went well as Mike took the time to be sure he understood our vision for the project. He was very helpful offering suggestions to enhance the project. The work was finished when promised and the house was clean when the work was completed. From the start of the projects to their finish Mike and his Peak One team did a superb job for us. We are very satisfied with the experience we received from Peak One on our remodeling projects and would highly recommend Peak One Builders and Restoration.

Even being handicapped, I’ve never had a shower that was so easy to get in and out of…
I don’t remember when exactly I meet Mike Christensen, but I do remember when I first saw him doing work on my new home from Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors Project. I remember seeing the inside of the house for the first time and it was utterly perfect. I had no idea it could have gotten any better, but it did!
One afternoon, Mr. Christensen was in the new addition that was literally just beginning to be built and everything was just frame work and concrete. Mr. Christensen told me what and where things were going to be in my new home. Things were looking so small in such a basic state, it’s really just a trick of the eyes, but he told me where the shower would be, how the sink would be accessible while in my wheelchair and I was dumbfounded at how everything seemed larger when it was completed.
I did some research on Mr. Christensen’s work and I was floored by just how perfect everything looked. At this point I was starting to get really excited! As the bathroom and new addition were starting to come a long, I was feeling really turned around and dizzy because walls were missing! I knew they had something special planned, but the finished product was beyond anything I was expecting!
Mr. Christensen really took a 1940’s home and turned it into something super modern! The kitchen was nice, but Mr. Christensen asked if I had enough room to use my wheel chair in the kitchen and I said I did. Apparently, Mr. Christensen wanted to be certain, as he created so much space for me to use my wheelchair that I had never been in a kitchen with so much room to move and do things! Everything in the kitchen was reachable, roomy and super elegant.
The bathroom is the biggest and roomiest bathroom I have ever been in and it’s mine! The shower is almost big enough to put a golf cart in! Even being handicapped, I’ve never had a shower that was so easy to get in and out of. The greatness didn’t stop there, as the bedroom door was extra wide and it’s super easy to just glide into the bedroom when I need to.
The living room was another super bonus. I thought it was great when I had first seen it, but after completion, the custom cabinets and custom stonework really made it look like something out of a magazine or a remodeling show!
The best spot, was perhaps though, a decent size storage area made specifically for my military awards, medals and trinkets. Everything fit flawlessly!
The whole house has a very custom look and feel to it and sometimes it still feels like a museum or a model home. Mr. Christensen and his crew did a phenomenal job and then some! It is and will always be more than I ever expected. I would recommend Mr. Christensen and Peak One Builders to anyone who wanted a superior look and finish in their home!

We received excellent quality work at a reasonable cost…
We were looking to do some interior remodeling to our recently purchased second home and were referred to Mike Christensen and his company Peak One Builders by our realtor. Mike worked collaboratively with us and our designer to create the scope of work, and contributed practical ideas and cost effective solutions to implement our design vision. As this is a second home, we relied on Mike to oversee the project in our absence, and he was very diligent in sending pictures and communicating so that we could be assured of the progress of the work. Mike assembled a team of talented sub trades who worked efficiently to complete the project in the prescribed time frame. We received excellent quality work at a reasonable cost. The workers were respectful of our property, working carefully around the finished areas and doing a thorough clean up at completion. Mike was very attentive to the final deficiencies and these were dealt with quickly and effectively. We would not hesitate to recommend Mike and Peak One Builders to anyone requiring home renovation services.

My wife Melissa and I had a wonderful experience working with Peak One. As a former cost estimator in residential building, I felt well attuned to discerning quality people and workmanship when evaluating Scottsdale home builders for our house in Scottsdale. We had known Mike for years but not had any building needs ’til 2011. After receiving multiple bids we knew Peak One would be the best fit for us. The whole experience was turnkey.
Mike listened to our concerns, suggested ideas and asked questions the other contractors never did. He had plans drawn, saving us the time and expense of dealing with a third party designer or architect. He arranged the building permit and managed every detail. The bid was itemized, professional and transparent. Melissa I work and have children, so we really appreciated the way Mike’s entire team made sure this project didn’t add unnecessarily to our stress!
I recommended mike to my parents who after meeting with him called me to to say they had cancelled their other bid appointments because, “Mike is the kind of person we want to do business with.” He is organized, respectful, punctual, sincere, knowledgeable, humble, detail oriented and a master at his craft. This is an extremely unusual combination of qualities to find in anyone, especially in the home building industry. Everyone who I’ve met that knows Mike feels the same way. I’m sure that’s also why he’s risen to his position as Company Commander in the National Guard with over 100 people in his charge.
My wife and I have lived in Scottsdale most of our lives and accumulated an extensive network of trusted Arizona service providers. Peak One Builders definitely earns our highest recommendation! Live A Normal Life In My Now Handicap Accessible Home…
On behalf of my family and I, I would like to personal thank and recommend Peak One Builders for the life changing work they put into our house. The hard work, long hours, and professionalism provided by everyone at Peak One Builders cannot be surpassed by any other company. They are responsible for allowing me to be comfortable and live a normal life in my now handicap accessible home.
Peak One Builders made it happen by sitting down with me and forming a plan of attack and deciding what needed to be done to best suit me. From there they widened all the door ways throughout the entire home, installed accessible ramps and walk ways at every access point, and completely remodeled the bathrooms from floor to ceiling so they are accessible and easy for me to use. In addition to the handicap needs Peak One Builders also went through the entire house and put new tile flooring, remolded the kitchen with new cabinets and countertops, and even added a few special touches like a custom entertainment center and build in handicap accessible spa. The work they completed was phenomenal. Not only is Peak One dedicated to its’ customers, but they have teamed up with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors to help redesign homes for vets like myself returning home from war.
At the end of the day, there are few things as important as family and the comfort of your home. Peak One Builders paired with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors is a combination that cannot lose.
